The transparent beads all have Effetre clear as the core. They were dipped in the enamel 3 times with each coating melted in the torch before re-dipping. They were then run through a batch annealing cycle in the kiln.

Thompson Enamels are also available in Frit form

And in WaterColor form

This is how the colors look in the container. You can mix & blend the colors just like you would regular watercolors. This is just a quick bead I made of Effetre Clear, etched. The back is painted with a blue/white Watercolor mix on. The clouds, moon & bat are painted on the front. After the watercolor enamel has dried, it should be run though an annealing cycle in the kiln. I found annealing one side after painting it then the other side to work the best.

You can find them here. There are 2 sets on the site. This link takes you to the one developed for painting on glass. It will say GPWC (Glass Painting Water Color).

Miriam Steger also has a full color chart.

The 7000 (opaque)
and 8000 (transparent) series Thompson Enamels contain 43
compatible colors for glass with a COE of 90 - 97. I don't have any of those so I haven't tested them.

I'm frequently asked how to use enamels. So as not to re-invent the wheel,
when I run across some good info on a public forum, website, or blog,
I'll post a link here with a hearty thanks in advance to any and
all who contributed to the info.
