I'm quite often asked what the numbers that follow the 'x' mean. They're how you measure out the mix. You pick the units of measure (oz, gm, in, cm, mm) and then add the number to it. For example: in the first mix pictured and if the units of measure are oz, it would be 1 oz 456 Rubino, 6 oz 068 Pink, and 2 oz 016 Dark Topaz.

Uranium Yellow Stringer: When I hold this up next to 265 Uranium Yellow, It looks like the same color. The trick to getting this recipe to work for you is to get it hot enough that 076 Red unstrikes. |

Supposed to be a non-reactive Ivory. Would have turned out if it hadn't been for the Pink areas that appeared as I was pulling it. | |||

Misc. Notes - Depending on the degree of translucency you want, you may have to add more clear/white till you get the results you want. |
To turn a transparent color into a translucent one, mix transparent with an equal amount of 204 White.. 060 Cobalt Blue mixed this way gives you . |
To turn an opaque color into a translucent one, mix with an equal amount of 004 Clear. I mixed 1 part 436 Dark Red with 2 parts 004 Clear to get . |
If you want to make a color pastel try mixing it with 268 Pearl Gray. |
