Baby, I'm Yours by Susan Andersen. ISBN: 0380795116. Heroine is a hearing daughter of deaf parents. She's also a teacher for the Deaf. ASL plays a part in the plot and there is a minor deaf character in the story. A romantic novel.

Dead Body Language by Penny Warner. ISBN: 0553575864. Thirty-seven year old journalist, Connor Westphal, has relocated from San Francisco to Flat Skunk, a mining-turned-tourist town in the foothills of the Sierras, to start up her own weekly paper. For the Sake of Elena by Elizabeth George. ISBN: 0553561278. The murder victim was deaf and her deafness is the key to why she was murdered.  Takes place in England.  There are some other deaf characters and some exploration of the Deaf/oral conflict.

Havana Heat: A Novel by Darryl Brock. ISBN: 189212923X. The novel's main character and narrator is Luther "Dummy" Taylor, who pitched for the NY Giants in the early years of the last century. The story takes place in 1911. One of the main elements in the story concerns Taylor's relationship with a deaf Cuban boy.

Right to Remain Silent by Penny Warner. ISBN: 0553579622. Deaf journalist Connor Westphal just broke a huge story for her California Gold Country newspaper, the "Eureka!"
